About this blog

My name is Matt and I often have stupid computer problems. Sometimes they're problems because of my own ignorance, but other times I expect they're problems because of poorly written software with bugs and issues that have no clear documentation or answers on how to fix them.

How many times have you gone to Google looking for an answer to a problem only to find a bulletin board with a hundred other people with the same problem and not a single solution? (Or worse — someone who found the solution but won't share any details.) Other times, you may find what looks like a solution, but it's just a pitch for some lame software they want you to buy. (How do I solve problem X? Easy! Just buy ProblemXSolverPro for only $89.99.) Other times, the page is just gone — a broken link or a site that's inexplicably gone private so you can't find the two or three step solution to make your problem go away.

That's why I created this blog. Anytime I have a stupid problem and find a solution, I put it here — because no one else will. Other times, I may just use it for venting, but more often then not, it's a place for me to permanently store that one solution I found to a problem that I needed to pull up sometime in the future — particularly when a site like Google can't be trusted to find it again for me.
